Your way, Your will, Your time..Faher God!
Mark 14:36 NIV
“Abba. Father,” he said, ” everything is possible for you. Take this cup from me. Yet not my will, but what you will.”
I’m just on this part of my journey, season, as some call it, where I have been thinking so much about Jesus and how he lived his human life. We are to strive to be like Jesus, and I want too so much! I am at awe with his perfection. No one could live up to that, yet, God still loves us….Amazing!
1 John 3:9 NIV
No one born of God will conontinue to sin, because God’s seed remains in them; they cannot go on sinning because they have been born of God.
When this happens, you accept Christ as your Lord and Saviour and you believe he walked this earth as the Son of God. You change! You do! Some of it you have to work hard at, but incredibly so many things just happen on their own. You notice things. You have no inclination to swear and when you slip, its minor, you’re aware and immediately repent.
I remeber watching a certain series ( I am a Netflix junkie!) I was so eagar when they picked up this series so I went back and started to rewatch..I couldn’t do it! The content made me so uncomfortable. I had no desire to go on with it..at all! I instead found other genre, inspirational, religious, family shows, pretty much all rated PG 13 or lower and I thoroughly loved them.
Things that I once thought I could never change about me…now just didn’t exist in me! Gone! God took it and replaced it with a new me! I didn’t miss the old me at all…and best yet…I LOVE who I was becoming. So do NOT doubt for one moment that you are to corrupted, to dark hearted, have sinned too much…because its not possible! God loves Us so much!
A misconception though may be that it is easy…some parts are, others take serious work. But if you truly, entirely, submitted your will to God….He shows you the way. Not like a picture show…but in lessons. So be very open to anything that goes on in your life that ,one, He will get you through and two, look for what you can learn!
How much time does this take? That’s all on God! Gods time!
I was given a mission, and he revealed parts of it to me. All so far have happened. He also gave me a gift and with His spirit I finished a project, but it sits completed but not used ( yet). I have no idea why, I thought things would go one way..nope!
So God may lead you to something, then the BIG stall! Do not freak out! It happens. Be patient and keep going with the next thing and next thing He leads you to do. One day, you’ll look back and be WOW! That’s how all that fit together! I love those moments. Now, when I am in a “stall”, I have this special hope, knowing that it will all come together and be fabulous! That right there is a driving force!
No matter what….examine and make sure what you think you want..is God’s will and not your own! How??? Prayer of course! Also it is great to have a reliable Christian to bounce things off of and pray with you if you need it.
How do we know?
1John 3:14 NIV
We know that we passed from death to life because we love each other.
It’s that simple! When you can reach the point that you feel love for all, including the hardest of the hards….you are there!
Be strong. Examine your heart. Examine your will. Lean into God and let Him guide you everyday in everything you do!
