You See me as Brave?

Several times over the last several months people have described me as brave. I have now heard or read this about me no less than ten times…and it still leaves me speechless!

If that is what you are seeing or feeling about me….then what you are really seeing and feeling is God! Because without Him..I am not brave or fearless. I am just human!
Scared…uncomfortable…..unsure. I question, I have doubts, I have fears and feel uncertainty. I, however , don’t like any of those feelings. So what do I do? How do I present in the way you see me?

I pray! I read God’s word daily! I have complete faith and trust in Him.

I listen to God and do what He asks of me!

2 Timothy 4:4-5 NIV
They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths. But you, keep your head in all situations, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, discharge all the duties of your ministry.

In doing this he gives me strength and boldness. But I have to work at it everyday! I also rely on my Christian brothers and sisters for strength…..your community is essential!

                    Arm yourself!

The first bible verses I memorized were these:

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

Also, when I left the US a friend gifted me a small travel journal and on its cover is :

Joshua 1:9
….Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged , for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.

Inside there are encouraging verses on each page. So I always have scripture with me. ( turns out…I am a horrible memorizer!) So I am very thankful for the special gift.

I have also downloaded Youversion Bible app and with that I downloaded many different versions of the Bible to study.  Whith the app it also has countless Bible plans to read and you can do them with others. ( this is not an advert….just a wonderful tool I want to share with others). It is a part of the armor I cary with me !

I’m using the Bible App by YouVersion.com. Download it now for your mobile device.

Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms. If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God. If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen.
1 Peter 4:10‭-‬11 NIV

God has been grooming me all my life.

He puts things in you, on your heart, directions. But yet he does give us free will to make choices on if we follow or go another direction. I often chose the other direction. However, I had accepted Christ at a young age so He has always been with me, protecting me from all my choices. But also He has taken ever circumstance,  every hardship, all my suffering , and now it is all is used to serve others.

So this bravery you say you see in me…its because I am loved, I am protected, I am provided for, my strength, my will, my very existence, every word I put to paper, every word I speak, comes from God because I have let him have all of me! And He gave me that choice…I took it and do everything He instructs me to do!

But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.
2 Corinthians 12:9 NIV

In all my weaknesses God has made me strong, brave……and you………also can be brave!!!
