I truly wish I was one of those people that found it easy to just memorize. I remember hanging out with a friend and her family. Her and her brother quoted, verbatim, an entire scene from a movie! As I wonder around the world I meet so many people that know more than one language….thses are just not a part of the repertoire of beautiful gifts God has bestowed upon me.
Ephesians 6:11 NIV
Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.
What I do rely on, as a part of my armor, is my faith and the spirit God has laid on me! For with these He always leads me to the scripture I seek!
Hebrews 4:12 NIV
For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.
I am never bored. Each time I dive into scripture God opens me up and I see something different, learn something new. It’s like a light goes on! My Bible, ( Youversion app) is full of high lights and notes. I once said to a friend ” I wonder if there is going to be a time when my whole Bible is highlight! “
Still, there are other times that I am so challenged! And thats good…cause I stay engaged! During a serman Pastor Greg said the Bible may seem to contradict itself but that’s because there are scripture to cover whatever season you are in. Also it helps to really dive into the context. Look at other versions and sources.

In all seriousness, perfect example of context, not everyone read back then. However, I look at this today and I find that when I am in a public place reading scripture, talking to friends on Whatsapp about it , I have had people start up conversations from what they have over heard….so yeah…DO IT!
2 Timothy 3:16&17
All scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching , rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
How powerful is that?!! GOD-BREATHED!!
How could you not want to follow that? Learn it and live it!
