When I write, I do put so much of me into it. It’s not to draw attention to me…I’d rather not, its uncomfortable exposing one’s self, being vulnerable. But without doing so, you remain lonely….isolated.
For we are co-workers in God’s service; you are God’s field, God’s building.
1 Corinthians 3:9 NIV
Livng in isolation, being held captive of your own thoughts is a ploy by the devil, and he is very successful at using this tactic to keep us humans from living our real lives. So as I am encouraged through the Holy Spirit to share what I have gone through, this is to encourage you to know you are not alone.
Therefore, since Christ suffered in his body, arm yourselves also with the same attitude, because whoever suffers in the body is done with sin. As a result, they do not live the rest of their earthly lives for evil human desires, but rather for the will of God.
1 Peter 4:1-2 NIV
On this phase of my journey I have been working on getting to know Jesus better. Yes, I whole heartedly believe in Christ. Accepted him as Lord and Savior. I could never thank him enough for taking on such horrible pain, cruel physical torture, for me. I think about his resurrection that fulfilled the Scriptures. But mostly I think about how he lived his life in pure service.
He is not here; he has risen! Remember how he told you, while he was still with you in Galilee: ‘The Son of Man must be delivered over to the hands of sinners, be crucified and on the third day be raised again.’ ” Then they remembered his words. It was Mary Magdalene, Joanna, Mary the mother of James, and the others with them who told this to the apostles. But they did not believe the women, because their words seemed to them like nonsense.
Luke 24:6-8, 10-11 NIV
Jesus did this with stories also, parables. He did not draw upon his life, but yet, would help countless others get to know God his father. But you see, Jesus used what he knew…and he knew his Father, scripture and serving others!
Though I am free and belong to no one, I have made myself a slave to everyone, to win as many as possible.
1 Corinthians 9:19 NIV
Jesus also did not work alone, as we are stronger together.
Jesus went up on a mountainside and called to him those he wanted, and they came to him. He appointed twelve that they might be with him and that he might send them out to preach
Mark 3:13-14 NIV
Jesus always had balance. When he was not healing and serving others through his ministry. He took time off to be in prayer by himself. He also surrounded himself with his Apostles, they were his community. And of course Jesus always had the synagogue where he learned scripture.
He had balance between it all. We should always strive for this. With the priority of being with God first!
